Calling all book readers!
I am going to choose a book for the start of this summer. I have been in a reading novels class this semester and it has taken up all my spare reading time, so sorry for slacking! Who can I expect to be reading with me this summer? I would like to keep you in mind while choosing the book.

My Pick
Rebecca by Daphne du Maurier. Rebecca Cook said it was good and I saw it on the list for the library's book club. So let's see how it is...

A "peep" from the Loser Sister
Hey ladies, I'm still on Chapter One. I'll get there, though. . . Kristen has lighted a fire under my tousche. But I have been thinking about the blurb on "oily food" in that beginning chapter. I didn't realize that about 17% of our nation's energy use goes to food production and transport. Wow. And talk about making a positive impact: Hopp suggests that if every US citizen were to eat one meal a week from local and organic sources (any meal. . . thinking breakfast anyone??), US consumption of oil would be reduced by 1.1 MILLION barrels EVERY WEEK?!?!? Talk about political and environmental change rolled into one great move.
I have to say I am disappointed when I purchase oranges from the supermarket, and they have California stickers. Hello, Florida? Where are your oranges???
